"How + Clause"
The structure "How + clause" is used to introduce a content clause that expresses the extent, manner, intensity, or nature of a feeling, action, thought, or situation. It often follows verbs such as know, remember, realize, understand, explain, see, notice, admit, recall, think, regret, or adjectives like surprising, amazing, unclear, obvious.
In this structure, "how" does not ask a question. Instead, it introduces what happened, how something was done, or the strength of a feeling.
