✅ What to Do

[M]Give a good name on the 7th day with aqiqah. (Tirmidhi 1516)
[M]Teach them tawheed, prayer at age 7, discipline gently at 10.
[1]Teach the Qur'an, Islamic manners, and good character.
[2]Be just and fair among children. (Bukhari 2587)
[1]Show love and affection. (Bukhari 5997)
[1]Make du'a for their righteousness.
[2]Teach them life skills.
[2]Allow them to choose their spouse at maturity.

[1]Play with your children, hug them, kiss them — the Prophet kissed his grandchildren. (Bukhari 5997)
[2]Make the adhan in the right ear of the newborn. (Abu Dawud 5105)
[1]Pray for your children's righteousness and guidance. (Qur'an 25:74)
[2]Teach them swimming, archery, and horse-riding. (Muslim 1675)
[3]Touch their head gently and make du'a for them.

🚫 What Not to Do

[H]Abuse or neglect children.
[h]Favor one child over another in gifts.
[h]Curse or make negative du'a against them.
[H]Force a daughter into marriage against her will.
[H]Abandon children after divorce.

[h]Give one child a gift and not the other equally.
[h]Frighten children with "Allah will punish you" — teach Allah's love first.

⭐ As You Wish

— Circumcision on 7th day or later (must be before puberty).
— Breastfeed for 2 full years or less. (Qur'an 2:233)
