Combing the Hair (Al-Tarajjul) & Personal Grooming

✅ What to Do

[2]Comb and maintain your hair — the Prophet had well-groomed hair. (Abu Dawud 4159)

[2]Use oil (olive, coconut, etc.) on hair — it prevents dryness and is sunnah. (Ibn Majah 3613)

[2]Start combing from the right side.

[2]Part the hair in the middle or however it falls naturally.

[2]Dye gray hairs with henna or katam (not black) to distinguish from Jews and Christians. (Muslim 2102)

[2]Men trim mustache and let the beard grow. (Muslim 259)

[h]Extend hair with false hair (wigs, weaves) — the Prophet cursed the user and maker. (Bukhari 5933)
