[1]Know that righteousness (birr) is not turning your face east or west.
True righteousness is: believing in Allah, the Last Day, the Angels,
the Books, and the Prophets; giving wealth despite loving it to
relatives, orphans, the poor, the wayfarer, beggars, and for freeing
captives; establishing prayer and giving zakah; fulfilling covenants;
being patient in poverty, illness, and battle. These are the truthful,

[M]Cooperate in righteousness and piety; do not cooperate in sin and
[1]Know that neither meat nor blood reaches Allah; what reaches Him is
[1]Practice righteousness in all spheres — belief, charity, worship,
