[1]Give gifts to strengthen bonds of love and brotherhood. (Tirmidhi 2123)

[2]Give gifts without expecting anything in return except from Allah. (Qur'an 76:9)
[M]Accept a gift unless it is haram. (Bukhari 2585)

🚫 What Not to Do

[H]Favor some children over others in gift-giving. (Bukhari 2587)
[h]Take back a gift once given (except a parent from child). (Bukhari 2589, Muslim 3026)
[h]Give a gift with the condition of reciprocation. (Muslim 3028)
[h]Accept a bribe in the name of a gift. (Bukhari 2598)
