✅ What to Do

[M]Interpret the Qur'an first by the Qur'an (tafsir al-Qur'an bi al-Qur'an).
[M]Then by the Sunnah of the Prophet . (Bukhari 7450)
[1]Then by the statements of the Companions, especially Ibn Abbas. (Bukhari 4713)
[2]Speak about the Qur'an only with knowledge — speaking without knowledge is a major sin.
[1]Reflect on the meanings of the Qur'an. (Qur'an 38:29)
[2]Learn the occasions of revelation (asbab al-nuzul) to understand context.

🚫 What Not to Do

[H]Speak about the Qur'an without knowledge. (Tirmidhi 2950)
[h]Interpret the Qur'an based solely on personal opinion without established principles.
[H]Distort the meanings of the Qur'an to suit desires. (Qur'an 2:79)
[h]Claim certainty about allegorical verses (mutashabihat) that only Allah knows. (Qur'an 3:7)
