✅ What to Do

[1]Free slaves as an act of worship — it brings great reward. (Bukhari 2517)

[1]Free a slave as expiation for certain sins (zihar, killing, missed fasts). (Qur'an 4:92, 58:3)

[2]Free a slave who is a believer — the Prophet freed many slaves.

[2]Be kind and gentle to your slaves — feed them what you eat, clothe them what you wear.

[1]Teach them Islam — the Prophet sent Mu'adh to teach the People of the Book.

Slavery was inherited from pre-Islamic world; Islam phased it out via rewards

for freeing. In today's world, it is effectively abolished.
