Sacrificial Animals (Udhiyah / Qurbani)

✅ What to Do

[1]Sacrifice an animal on Eid al-Adha if you have means — it is a confirmed sunnah.
[1]Choose a healthy animal: no blindness, lameness, or severe illness. (Bukhari 5556)
[1]Eat, give to relatives, and give to the poor. (Qur'an 22:28)
[2]Distribute in three parts: family, friends/neighbors, poor.
[2]Slaughter with your own hand if you can. (Bukhari 5565)
[2]Say "Bismillah, Allahu Akbar" when slaughtering.

🚫 What Not to Do

What to Do ↑ As You Wish ↓
[h]Give the butcher the skin or meat as payment. (Muslim 3617)
[h]Sacrifice a defective animal.
[h]Sell any part of the sacrifice — its meat, skin, or wool.
[h]Delay past the 3 days of Tashriq.
